Nice look great value We bought this toilet for our powder room remodel last year and liked it so much we bought the same model for our master bathroom remodel. The toilet is sleek, taking up much less floor space than the original fixture, with a contemporary but still traditional look. It is easy to keep clean and the dual flush system truly does save water - and ultimately money. The recommended "soft close" lid isn't necessary but is nice to have if you want to spend the extra money. March 23, 2011

Lean and Green The Aquia II is a compact toilet compared to the Kohler Wellworth it replaced. It is considerably shorter forward of the flange than most toilets. Mounting is rather high-tech and does not bolt directly to the flange. Rather, a mounting adapter with a rubber gasket bolts to the flange with the wax ring between it and the flange. The value here is that if the toilet has to be removed after installation you will not have to replace the wax ring – no scraping ore yucky cleanup before replacement. Four holes must be drilled with the use of the included template at the rear to secure the two nylon mounting blocks (this may a bit of work if you have a ceramic tile floor). Once the mounting blocks are affixed to the floor the toilet can be placed and two fastening screws (with dress center taps) can be set completing the process. A word to the wise – the Aquia requires you to work trough small ports at the back of the lower piece to affix the seat and worm the supply line (you will likely need a longer line than you now have) coming from the tank. This is best done BEFORE the toilet is put in place. As far as the operation of the toilet everything works beautifully. At the top of the tank is a split button for flushing. The left portion is designed for liquid waste, the right for #2. If you are interested in “greenness” this is the perfect toilet. Since liquid flushes far out number solid waste flushes the total amount of water used with this toilet should be considerably less that that utilized by a 1.26 G/F toilet. At the same time the Aquia does not reduce the total water/solids ratio in the line that can lead to sewer line problems in the future. August 31, 2009
