InSinkErator F-GN1100 Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pricey, Questionable Quality This product is very pricey when you consider that you must also purchase a heater to use with it. The price of the heater is roughly the same as the faucet so by the time you are done you have to shell out close to $500. The first faucet I received was defective and had to be returned. I am hopeful that the second one will work out. I have installed 4 of these in my home over the last 15 years. My family loves the convenience but they only last 3-4 years. I wish there was an alternative manufacture that built with a higher level of quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so far, so good works as advertised. build quality is good, although some (formerly) copper connections have been replaced with plastic (since our last version of eight years ago). rarely does this device represent a failure point--more commonly, the heating tank unit developes problems first. homes with untreated or high mineral-content water should install a whole-house filter/softener to prevent calcification/lime build-up on this faucet which will degrade its service life

Rated 3 out of 5 by from THIRD REPLACMENT Easy to install, works great for about a year then the handle flops around and the unit is worthless. At this price the unit should last longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good deal Easy installation. Functions well. Only complaint is hose length; limits install location. Had to extend all lines to get past garbage disposal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Valve sticks open I am searching for a replacement faucet/valve for this model because the valve on the current one sticks in the open position. Everything under the counter works fine. After several years the valve now gets stuck in the open position and the water streams out until manually shut off. Maybe there is a simple fix to my problem. I have not been able to find it, even after taking the valve apart and trying to lube the piston that sticks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE this appliance I absolutely love having an instant hot water tap. Our tank did go out after three years (original plastic tank) and warranty service offered us a stainless steel replacement tank. Yes, the replacement tank was about $200 or so, but less than a new dispenser. This was a lot less than the online prices I would find. And I just love instant hot water!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well for 6 years. Purchased in 2007. Worked beautifully for 6 years, then the handle did not function properly. Had to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product backed by an Excellent Company Purchased this stainless steel dispenser to replace a white dispenser as part of a kitchen remodeling project. I have always had very good success with InSinkErator products and if there ever was a problem, this company has always been there to provide excellent support.

I have an instant hot number GN1100SN what does SN stand for and can I buy just the tank separately.

The SN will be indicative of the Satin Nickel finish. This model will use the SST-FLTR tank and heater assembly.

Is this hot water dispenser the complete package, or will I need additional items to install?

The InSinkErator F-GN1100 is only the faucet. You will need to purchase a InSinkErator SST-FLTR Point-Of-Use Water Heater to fully function.

I have a 'SST' water tank. Is the SST-FLTR a different water tank? If not, is the FLTR required for the F-GN1100?

The SST-FLTR is required for the F-GN1100, I have not heard of just the "SST" tank, I bet they are the same, but you may want to call InSinkErator directly to make sure as they may ask you how old and what you tank looks like.

I'm looking for a more stylish faucet to replace my current bulky one. I currently have the In Sink Errator H770-22 model. Will this faucet work with my current tank?

Yes, the InSinkErator F-GN1100 will work with your current tank. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I'm trying to match a hot water dispenser to my Danze stainless steel faucet. Do you know if this satin nickel finish matches the Danze stainless steel finish?

Danze uses Brushed Nickel and Stainless Steel interchangeably for their faucets. Every manufacturer has a different take on their Nickel tone. I would expect the In-Sink-Erator pearl quality to be a bit stronger and not have as much of a brush mark as the finish on the Danze. They will be close but not perfect matches.

I currently have the Insinkerator H990W-SS. Will the tank for it work with InSinkErator F-GN1100 ?

The InSinkErator F-GN1100 will work with the tank from the H990W-SS if you have a plastic drain plug on your current unit.

Which color is closest to stainless steel?

The InSinkErator F-GN1100 in the Brushed Chrome would be the closest option to Stainless Steel.

Does this work with the #SSTFLTR?

The InSinkErator F-GN1100 will work the SSTFLTR.

Can we buy just the dispenser top separately without replacing the tank?

You can buy the dispenser without the tank. There is an option to remove the tank from the shopping cart during checkout.
