SoftClose Seat Spoils You for All Others It didn't happen often, but I used to sometimes slam my old toilet seat lid by accident. When I got this one, that was no longer possible, and thank goodness for that! I don't know how SoftClose works, just that it works. Easy to clean with gentle products, and more durable than it appears. Excellent product. Thank you Toto & Faucet Direct! March 11, 2011

I prefer SS114 I have two Toto toilets and am on the website to buy a third today. One has the Toto SS114 seat, the other has SS294. I like the SS114 much better for streamlined appearance and easier cleaning (I have young boys!). I didn't know SS294 lid was supposed to close with a flick and will have to train my husband on that :) But actually, I find the seat lid doesn't stay up well... I have to be deliberate in making sure the lid is up when I clean it... and that's another reason I prefer SS114. February 10, 2011

seat recently we remodeld our guest bath room.We purchased everything we needed at faucetdirect and I'm very pleased with the service and the appliances. After searching for long time faucetdirect could offer the best deal.I love the feature that it closes just by tipping at the edge. I ordered 4 of these toilets and seats and I hate that the seats won't stay up! How can I get them to stay up without holding them up so I don't urinate all over the seat as it slowly falls?

A. The Toto SS204 has adjustable hinges. It sounds as if they may have been over/under tightened.

Will another brand toilet seat fit the Drake CST744S?

A. The Toto SS204 is an elongated toilet seat with 5 1/2 inch center bolts. It is designed to fit the Toto Drake toilet. Any elongated toilet set with 5 1/2 inch center bolts will fit on the Drake toilet.
