With all of the activity it sees, your kitchen sink should be able to withstand it all. The fireclay kitchen sinks from Rohl’s Shaws Original Sinks collection are more than able to stand up to the daily punishment, and they look amazing doing it. These durable fireclay kitchen sinks resist scratches, thermal shock, alkaline, and acids, and come in two color options. Choose from two different sinks in Rohl’s Original Shaws collection: the main kitchen sink and the bar sink.

Farm House Sink I started on the remodel on my 1914 kitchen and decided that I had to have a Farm House sink. Looking at the various choices, I decided a single basin would be best. Typially, the cost of a Farm House sink ranges from $1100 to $2600. I found the Rohl sink on FaucitDirect and this looked perfect and the price was great. I found a video for the manufacturer and learned that each sink is hand made and the 'artists' signature is placed on each sink and no two sinks are the same. I ordered the sink, it arrived in no time and it's AWESOME! Recently, I went to a friends house and they had the EXACT same sink. Can this sink be installed as an undermount?

The Rohl RC3018 can be used with any garbage control, you just need to measure how much space you have under your sink. You will want to get the Rohl ISE10082 with your sink since it does need this extended length flange with the waste disposer

Which strainer basket fits without disposal

The Rohl basket strainer that fits the Rohl RC3018, is the Rohl 735, or 733.

Will this sink work as an under mount sink. The picture shows the sink installed this way but your question below "The Rohl RC3018 is designed as a tile in, apron front sink only." states 'tile in only".

There is no recommended method for fitting this in the spec sheet. You should have the flexibility you need, if you have further questions please check with Rohl directly at 800-777-5701.

The Rohl RC3018 faucet in the picture is the Rohl U.4719L-2 in brushed nickel.

The Rohl RC3018 will work with the InSinkErator Cover Control Disposer.

I'm confused...does the RC3018 need the ROHL ISE10082 regardless of which garbage disposal you get or do you need it only if you don't get the in-sinkerator disposal?

The ROHL ISE10082 is an extended flange that you will need to use with any garbage disposal, unless the disposal comes with an extended flange.

What is the actual thickness of the sink. How muck thicker are the sides on this compared to the Belle Foret 18x30" fireclay?

The Rohl RC3018 is going to be 2" thick. Where as item number BFF4KITWH is going to be 1" thick.

What's the proper basket strainer for my Shals sink RC3018? I've gone back to the store twice and still cant get the threads to screw the nut on underneath.

Due to the thickness of these sinks (considerably thicker than most kitchen sinks), an extended length basket strainer is required. Available from Rohl, Order the 735, or the 733 (polished chrome only) basket strainers.

Are the Allia white fireclay sink & the shaws white fireclay sink the same color white?

The Rohl RC3018 Shaws white and the Allia white are a little different. The Allia white is a more stark white.

Can I attach a garbage disposal to the Rohl apron sink without the vibration causing cracks to the sinks??

Your concern is valid, as the RC3018 is constructed of a clay material, however this sink in over 1" thick, and the clay is not your average arts and crafts clay. Fireclay is one of the strongest clays the Earth produces. Shaws Original sinks are actually the toughest sinks you will find on the market; vibration from a garbage disposal would not produce anywhere near the force needed to crack one of these.

The Rohl RC3018 is available in Biscuit and white only.

The Rohl RC3018 is not really designed to be mounted with the drain to the right side as it is shown with it to the left.

The answer to question five below says the sink is meant to be a tile-in only, yet the picture shows it as an undermount. Which is it?

Per Rohls specification sheet, here is th information the manufacture states "The apron is usually extended 1” to 2” from the front of thecabinet. We see the sink under mounted under the counter top material most of the time, but it can be flush mounted or even raised above the counter top. Historically, the fitting of fireclay sinks was dictated by the site and usage requirements, with the plumber/installer making the necessary provisions to support the sink."

Is this sink CSA approved?

The Rohl RC3018 is CSA Approved and will ship to Canada.

what is the base cabinet size needed for this sink?

The Rohl RC3018 will need a cabinet 31" or larger, however, the specifications state "Because of the plus or minus 2% dimension possibility of hand made product, it is recommended that the cabinet maker wait until your sink is delivered to make the cabinet to counter top. There is no standard fitting framework or support brackets. The cabinet should be reinforced to hold 135 to 175 lbs.

Is there a sink bottom grill accessory?

The Rohl RC3018 uses the Rohl WSG3018 wire basin rack.
