Product Technologies:

PosiTemp Valve: A pressure balancing valve that maintains water temperature within 3° F. Built-in temperature limit stops allow you to control how far the handle rotates, in effect controlling the range of water temperature. The PosiTemp offers the best water flow available for any comparable valve.
M-PACT Common Valve System: This innovation from Moen gives the homeowner the up-most functionality and convenience when it comes to bathroom faucets. Designed to be a catch-all valve system, once M-PACT is installed you can upgrade the style of the lavatory or shower faucet without replacing nay of the faucet plumbing.

Does this work for strictly a shower install, with no tub faucet?

The Moen 2510 can be used with a strictly shower install. No tub faucet is necessary.

Is this the right valve for a Moen 82496CBN Tub and Shower Faucet?

The Moen 2510 is the correct valve for the Moen 82496C.

I currently have the Moen Monticello shower faucet installed (posi temp). I have the rough in valve currently exposed, but is still installed. I wanted to change the style. Where is the valve # on the actual valve? I don't want to change the valve.

Can the valve be mounted upside down to deliver more water to the shower head?

The Moen 2510 doesn't have a bearing on the water pressure bassed on proximity to its orientation or location. It is water supply that determines the flow to the shower.

Does the cartridge come with the 2510 valve?

The Moen 2510 does come with the cartridge.

I already have a valve from previous shower install, do I still need this one ?

The Moen 2510 does require a Moen Posi-Temp rough-in valve.
