The Kohler K-3609 is actually sold with the seat separate so a soft closed one can be purchased alongside it. The one recommended is not a soft close but a typical Kohler, soft close seat, such as the Cachet collection, would mount to this toilet just fine.
Hello, the Kohler K-3609 can be used with the 4636 quite close seat. When you add it to the cart the option is provided.
The Kohler K-3609 is an easy toilet to clean. You can use scrubby bubbles or any other type of cleaning agent with a toilet bowl brush. Comet also works well.
Kohler's main production line is located in Kohler, Wisconsin. Though, they do have international product locations in Mexico and China.

It really comes down to preference. A one piece toilet is heavier during install (you can't place it less tank like a 2-piece). Typically, one-piece toilets have a lower profile than two-piece toilets. A one piece versus a two piece doesn't necessarily work any better or worse than the other. Pick one with decent specs and that you like the looks of.
They are practically the same size, but the Cimarron is 1/4" taller.
The Kohler K-3609-RA is the right hand version.
