Point-Of-Use Water Heater 3.6 5 7 7
perfect We needed to retrofit 2 old systems of hot water and filtered water - this took care of both and easy to install. November 21, 2010
Blazing Hot I replace an older insink tank-less hot water heater for my neighbor. Well when new one showed up, much nicer looking, Easily hook up all the tubing connection. Filled-up with water and plug it in, and man-o man. Watch out for the factory setting. That was soooo hot, steam started coming out of the faucet after, I bleed it though. Had no choice but to turn down the thermostat. Speaking of the thermostat, easy to use dial. That also was a new set up, on the new system. One thing to keep in mind when changing out just the tank. The new one comes with no new water lines so save the old ones. October 17, 2010
Leaks In sinkerator products seem to lacking in longevity. They work fine until they break which doesent seem to long. Ive gone thru several instahot units over the years with leaky faucets and tanks that wear out and leak. Cant they get this right? there isnt alot of choices so seems you have to buy what you know what wont last. Plus leaks can be very costly and destroy cabinetry. February 6, 2010
Your company shipped the product really fast. The product itself I have had to replace 2 times, the first time beacuse of the fitting on top. The secaond time do to the blatter leaking. Not a great product however not alot of options out there November 30, 2009
DISSAPOINTED Great product, very convenient especially for instant tea, hot chocolate etc. But, hugely dissapointed with manufacturing / design quality. We are on our third tank in 4 years. Seems tanks last about 2 years and then start leaking. I wish company would address this problem. Replacement tanks are quite expensive! November 26, 2009
Very nice appliance Easy to install, instant hot water, and so much better than the previous brand it replaced. July 24, 2009
Happy with product This is our second InSinkErater and we couldn't live without one now that we have had one for the past five years. We were disappointed that the first one only lasted 4 1/2 years. The service with FaucetDirect was great. They took care of our need right away and kept us updated on the shipping and delivery process. Thank you FaucetDirect for the awesome customer service. If I purchase this unit does it come with proper lines to hook up to the instant dispenser?

The dispenser when ordered will have the lines need for a complete installation.

Can I get the tank without the filter unit?

The InSinkErator SST-FLTR is sold with filter unit and not separately.

Please provide dimentions vertical width depth & capacity

The InSinkErator SST-FLTR is 6 1/8"w X 11"h, and the capacity is 2/3 gallons. It dispenses 60 cups of 200 degree F water per hour.

I see the question was asked already, but I would like clarification. If we already purchased SST-FLTR but the tank has developed a leak and is out of warranty, why can't we just purchase the tank without the filter kit? That is a unnecessary expense (between $60 to $100).

Insinkerator does not make these tanks available separately without the filter kits. These are the higher quality higher capacity tanks, not the smaller ones that come packaged without filter with the lower end dispenser faucets.

Can this filter work with the Hot-1 faucet?

The InSinkErator SST-FLTR is not compatible with the HOT-1.

How much energy is used when idle as when we're away from home for the weekend and temp is at 200 degrees? At 150 degrees?

The InSinkErator SST-FLTR uses 6.25 amps max, and it varies on your climate and room temperature for how often it must kick on. You can also disable it if you go away.

Why don't we show the price?

Like many retailers, FaucetDirect.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require FaucetDirect.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.

To see the price for this product at FaucetDirect.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.

FaucetDirect.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. FaucetDirect.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
