Good disposal The disposal is exactly what was expected. Price was ok, and shipping was very timely. May 1, 2011

Cheap The builder put this disposal in our house 7 years ago. We are replacing it now because it has completely rusted through inside & is leaking through the entire bottom of the unit. We have continually had problems since we've had it with the unit jamming, locking up, not grinding food well & being VERY loud. Some of the reviewers seemed to think 5+ years is a good deal but my parents & other friends have had their higher end InSinkErator units for 20+ years and they still work. You really do get what you pay for. November 6, 2010

Pretty Average Product. Pretty much what you'd expect however unit did not utilize the normal screw on type fittings. Luckily I had some spare parts in the basement or it would have required another trip to the hardware store April 29, 2010

Junk After Two Years I bought a Badger 5 two years ago and a hole has rotted through the side of it and it is leaking. I will be replacing it with anything but an Insinkerator product. February 17, 2010

badger 5 When we moved in 10 years ago a badger 5 came whith the house. If the new one lasts like that it will be great February 6, 2010

Garbage Disposal Replaced old one that was used and abused for 7 years. Expect same value and service from this one. Wife grinds spoons and it keeps on grinding. February 4, 2010

Do the garbage disposals come with the stopper and flange or are these purhased separately?

A. The Insinkerator Badger 5 disposal comes with a stopper and flange.

To complete a basic installation, one will need a gasket that seals the input side mating to the sink hole. One also need another gasket that seals the oupt side to the 1.5" drain pipe. Both are hard to find. Are these two included in this purchase?

A. The InSinkErator Badger 5 does include both of these gaskets.

Does the unit come with an inlet for a double sink?

A. The InSinkErator Badger 5 does not have an inlet for a double sink. Typically a double basin sink would have the garbage disposal only on one side.
