When Buying Parts

Here are some tips when buying parts:

• Check the documentation - We provide the most recent documentation available from the manufacturer.  Older (original) documentation may have been updated, new part numbers replacing old or some even discontinued.
• When in doubt, call technical support.  The manufacturer's technical support can help answer most questions based on symptoms, help define which model you actually have, or assist in actually installing the part.  Our product specialists can help you with many issues, but we admit: the manufacturer's technical support is expert on their own products - old and new.  If you cannot locate the phone or email for a specific manufacturer, our product specialists will be happy to get you any contact information for any of the lines we carry.
• Backordered parts -  It is hard to carry every part of every product made (but we still try!). On the less-common parts (especially those with finishes/colors), we need to order those directly from the manufacturer.  After an order is processed we attempt to source all the warehouses we can access, including the manufacturer.  If all are depleted, we obtain a estimated ship-date from the manufacturer and notify you by email.
• I need the part ASAP!  When your faucet explodes and you HAVE to have the part now - we can help.  First, make sure you know the part you need (see technical support and documentation above).  If our website does not reflect a stock status, our product specialists can attempt to hunt down any available source for you - even if we have to Next Day Air a part from the manufacturer (sometimes possible, depending on the manufacturer).  We will do all we can to assist you in your repair efforts!
• Shipping rates - We ship all parts orders by an insured and trackable method.  Yes, we could just drop a part in an envelope by first-class mail - but this doesn't ensure delivery nor do you have an estimated time of arrival.  As we do ship by the trackable methods, our base shipping rates are usually around $4-6 per shipment.  That can be more costly for a pair of O-Rings ($0.45-2.00), but we ship the item quickly (or obtain it as fast as possible), ensure it arrives and have live people to assist if necessary.
