Fixing Kitchen Sink I had a kitchen sink with with very littler water pressure. I replaced the ceramic cartridge hoping it would solve my problem. This was an exact equivalent of the part I wanted to replace. It went in easily and quickly. Unfortunately it did not solve my problem. After doing some research and contacting Grohe, it turned out I needed to replace my quick coupling (46 315). Grohe recommended changing my orange coupler with the Green one. It has a much larger one way openning. Problem solved. July 5, 2010

Grohe cartridge 46048 Product is fine. In my case, however, the problem (dripping faucet) was due to a crack in the faucet body so the cartridge did not help. Required a faucet replacement. July 3, 2010

Is this for a shower mixer?

The Grohe 46 048 000 is for a Kitchen Faucet.

Does the new 46048000 cartridge replacement come with a gasket that fits within the base of the cartridge?

The Grohe 46 048 000 does include the gasket.

Does this part come with the 3 o-ring seals? Also is there a rebuilding kit that you can purchase that comes with all seals and plastic hardware?

The Grohe 46 048 000 does comes with the seals integrated on the bottom. There is no kit but you can get a new cartridge which will come with those parts.

My cartridge was fine. The quick coupler was plugged as well.

What are the odds that cartridge is cause of low flow/ Flow reg is clean.

That is a definite possibility.
