good finish but ....
good shine finish but the bar is not deep enough. when you hang the towels, a little bit tough to hang; also lower part of towels will tough the wall after hanging.

thin bar, close to wall
As much as I love the sleek lines of this Grohe towel bar, It is really only useful for a handtowel or washcloth. I installed two in my bath to replace two older style bars and unfortunately found that this product is not appropriate for a bath towel because it rides so close to the wall. I have to fold my bath towel in half and gently slide it behind the bar to hang my towel. What a pain. Also, it has a very thin bar -- someone grabbed the bar for support (not even very hard) and now while the support ends are unaffected, the bar itself looks a little wonky.
I'm going to look for a deeper matching towel bar and replace one of these in my bath. Hopefully Grohe makes a big sister version of this bar!

Ask it here Are the cover plates on this product plastic or metal?Is that solid metal?Is the towel bar made of brass and what diameter is it?I need to mount a towel bar on a cultured marble wall. Will this work?Are any parts plastic?Does the bar screw into the two side pieces of slide in place. In other words would I be able to cut the bar shorter and still assemble the towel bar?How far does this project from the wall, and how far is the space between the wall and the inside of the bar?can this be attached to a shower door?Can the bar be cut and then fit into the end pieces to accomodate a smaller space but bigger than the 12 inches?Can I mount this to the back of a bathroom door? Would the screws be too long for a standard door? Is 24" the total length?How deep and wide is this towel bar? The specification sheet has little informaiton on it.The Grohe 40 366 towel bart is a perfect fit. I need an additional towel bar that is compatible with Grohe 40 366 but that has an overall width of no more than 16". I have looked in the Essentials series but can't find a towel rack that small.What is the ACTUAL overall length from outside of escutcheon to escutcheon?
