replacement I changed the color of my cabinets. Needed to change the hood/fan. I don't know how many years the old fan had been installed. I was happy with the old one and wanted one just like it in a different color. I thought I would never find a replacement. Products change every year. I was so grateful to find this, it made installment a breeze. I used the same screws! June 4, 2010

Does this range hood come with the filter?

This range hood does not come with a filter, the recommended filters for this range hood is S97006931.

will this fit onto an rectangular vent pipe?

A 3 1/4" x 10" rectangular vent will work with this unit.

Does it have a three pronged electric plug?

The Broan 4030 does not come with a plug, it's intended to be hardwired. There is, however, a cord kit that uses a three pronged plug.

My under the cabinet hood says a model 40000-h. Can I use the 4030 in the place of my model that is already installed?

The Broan 4030 is the sames as the 40000-h.
