Great item This item intalled so easily and works great. What a relief to find something that actually works like it is supposed to. Originally I tried a universal replacement purchased a a local hardware store, it did not work. I am glad I found the right handle and lever replacement item on line. toilet lever product was of good quality. American Standard is a bit frustrating since this is a 10 year old low flush model with a side mount. very hard to find the right part - this part was listed for the bowl type but in fact I had to warm it and bend it into correct position. It was about 10-20 degrees to close to a 90 degree bend...a little yankee ingenuity and it works fine January 26, 2009

will 4197 tank work with047242-1650 or 47242-0200 are these obsolete

A. The American Standard 047242-0020A is a Chrome finish and the 047242-0200 is the color silver. Both will not work with the 4197 tank. Tank 4197 does not come up in American Standards system. It is not a good model number.
